New Visitors

Welcome!

As a visitor you are welcome to worship among us, participate in any of our activities and attend any of our study groups.

Parking:  The church has shaded parking available on the south side of church. Additional parking is available along the east side of the family life center.

Entering the Church:  The main entrance to the church is through the south entrance into the sanctuary.

As a Visitor:  You will not be asked to stand up or to wear a red ribbon, but you may be greeted and welcomed by any number of our church family.

Diversity:  People come to our church from the far corners of Chilton County. Some people drive past many other churches to come here because they want to be a part of a unique experience. We are diverse financially. We believe and work hard at “Embracing All People”. Every person is a child of God and we accept them as they are. We are diverse in theology. John Wesley believed that “In essentials unity, in non-essentials freedom, in all things charity.” That is what we strive for at Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church.

Sunday Worship:  There are greeters at the door as you enter on Sunday mornings who can help you find your way. Upon entering the sanctuary you will be greeted and handed a bulletin that will give you all the information you will need to participate in the worship service. It will also include our weekly announcements and events being held.

Dress:  We have no dress code! Suits or jeans, wear whatever you feel comfortable in as you worship God.

Children:  We love children and consider them a vital part of our church family. We have a children’s nursery available.

Holy Communion:  We practice open communion. You do not need to be a member of Mt. Pisgah United Methodist Church to participate. Communion is served on the first Sunday of the quarter at worship service.

Is your order of worship easy to follow?  Yes. Upon entering the sanctuary you will be greeted and handed a bulletin that will give you all the information you will need to participate in the worship service. It will also include our weekly announcements and events being held.

Do I have to join your church?  No, you do not have to join, you are always welcome to worship among us, participate in any of our activities and attend any of our study groups. Membership is a choice and commitment which we want you to make only when the time is right for you. You can become a member by Baptism and Profession of Faith, or by Transfer from another United Methodist Church or another denomination. We believe that the Holy Spirit works within other churches and if you have previously been baptized we do not “re-baptize” you.
